This statement if from Julian of Norwich, an anchoress who lived way back in the 14th century. I like to revisit it every so often, because I think it is so beautiful. She lived during a very hard and dark time. The Black Plague had ravished the land and the church was pretty corrupt. She clung to her belief in God’s love and that’s the basis for this quote for which she is most well known. I have no idea of what she looked like, although there is a statue of her in Norwich, England. This is just my creative imagination at work :>). Even though she basically lived in a single room (!), there is an abbey named after her as well.
