There are certain stores I know I have to be on my guard when I walk through the doors. Costco is one of them: Ummm – do I REALLY need that double pack bag of Girl Scout Thin Mint Pretzels??? Marshall’s is another culprit: A cute summer blouse for just $9.99?? What a steal!!!
And another “tempter” is The Container Store, the epi-center of all things organized. Maybe because I struggle with organization myself, I get caught up in that store, wanting to buy those cleverly designed units to put things in, even if I don’t have “the things!!!”
There is just something so darn appealing about everything in its place, isn’t there? Benjamin Franklin one said, “A place for everything and everything in its place.” Can you relate?
Do you or anyone you know have any art supplies or “stuff”needing their own place? If so, do I have a deal for you!!
Did you know, July is World Watercolor Month? Thanks to founder Charlie Shields, I’m excited to announce I’ve been selected as an ambassador. To promote this fabulous event, a handful of artists from around the world, including myself designed art pouches for “keeping all things in!!” Each design comes in two sizes and celebrates the joy of watercolor. My bright, happy flower design will lift your spirits – and is ONLY available for the month of July.
The best part is 100% of the proceeds goes to a wonderful charity called, International Child Art Foundation - an organization which uses art to cultivate schoolchildren's creativity beyond just their early years at school. These beautiful pouches make great gifts, stocking stuffers, or provide school supply readiness! So think: storage, travel, organization for anything… they can hold art supplies, devices & cords/chargers, childrens’ toys, your coupon stash, craft supplies… and the list goes on. Purchase one for yourself or better yet, for everyone in your life! It’s a win/win/win!!!!
So, grab a pretty pouch for your art supplies, and join me for Charlie’s daily art prompts for World Watercolor Month! It’s a great way to support a wonderful charity and stretch your creativity. It’s also a great way to connect in a non-threatening way with the artistic community around the world. All skill levels are welcomed with open arms.
And… Don’t forget to tell your artsy friends! Please feel free to share my blog post with anyone - the more the merrier!
